MATTEO BOATO

(Born in Trento in 09.06.1971 from a Venetian family)

Classical guitarist (1992), civil engineer (1992) and bio-architect (1998).In 2001, like a bolt from the blue sky, he opted for a career as an artist.

He has exhibited in foreign countries like:

He participates as a teacher in training activities dedicated to group artistic design (MART, 2010 and 2011, FPSM, 2014 – 2017), direction and set design (Pergine Spettacolo Aperto, with M. Detassis, 2007, “Tutti Qui” Tour by Claudio Baglioni, 2006 ), artistic / scientific conferences (MUSE, 2011), performance (Galleria Civica di Trento, 2011; Trento Auditorium, 2011; MUSE, 2013; Nizhny Novgorod (RU), 2014; Kirov (RU), 2015). He is the subject, both as a painter and as a musician, of a scientific research conducted by L. Albertazzi, L. Channel, R. Micciolo, professors of the University of Trento, and the publication “Cross-modal association between materic painting and classical Spanish music “in Frontiers (Psychology).

He has illustrated books: Illustra libri: “Destini oltre il mare” by D. Larentis, Reverdito Editore; “L’eredità del Corvo” by M. Kessler, Reverdito Editore; “Un amore in Piazza” by D. Larentis and N. Clementi, Reverdito Editore; “5 minuti sul lettone” by C. Lombardo, Silvy Edizioni; “Perchè il campanile di Burano pende?” by L. Boato, Boom Libri.

His works are in the scenography of the Italian movie “La felicità è un sistema complesso” (2015, reg. Zanasi), in the TV series “Tutto può succedere” (2016 – 2017 – 2018, RAI 1), “Nero a Metà 2” (2019, 2021, RAI 1) and “Suburra” third series, (Netflix, 2020).

He has won National competitions for the realization of works of art: New Court of Appeal of Rome (Rome), Primary and Secondary School of Levico Terme (TN), Nursery school in Povo (TN), Kindergarten of Mezzano (TN), Public Hospital of Borgo V. (TN), New School Center Pergine V. (TN).
